Decemeber, the month when I have time to post.

So here's a compilation of some of my sketches from my character design sketchbook over the last semester.  It's nice being able to see the progression in just a short time but I still have lots of room for improvement and "loosening up."

Drawing cartoons again is so much fun, I forgot how fun it was.

Hipster Santa Colours

Now that I actually have time to mess around in photoshop I decided to give my Santa a bit of colour.

Textures used were:
Plaid Swatch from FrabicDomain
Denim swatch from Serenity Health
Background texutre set from Mellowmint

This was simply for fun and to experiment a bit more.

Happy Holidays!

All hipster Santa wants for Christmas is a grande soy cinnamon dolce creme frappuccino, blended with non-fat whip.

I'm gonna colour him hopefully but with all the wrapping and errands I have to do today the skecth will have to due.

I swear there will be more updates once I get scanning some of my sketchbooks from this past semester.

Happy holidays to everyone!

Week 10, nearing this semesters end!

So it's been a while because I've been lazy and haven't been uploading.  I figured I'd post the past few weeks progression in my Life Drawings, this is Week 7 to Week 10 and I think I'm getting closer to where I'd like to be.  I still have a long way to go though.
Week 7

 Week 8

 Week 9

 Week 10

Once I get a chance I want to get some of my character design sketchbook scanned and uploaded here.

I must say, as this semester is starting to end I can't wait until after the New Year.  It'll be harder but I want to improve more and more.

Time to jump on the bandwagon.

Here's the start to the art blog!  I'm looking forward to being able to track my improvements now over the next three years at Seneca college.  So I'll get the ball rolling with some life drawings from this past week.

Three, 5 minute poses from last weeks extra life drawing sessions.  I want to have the skeleton memorized by the end of the semester, and I think I'm slowing getting it. I need to focus on my proportions now in combination with the shapes of the bones and good ol' boxes.

Here's the foreshortened Torso assignment (second attempt) which I'm pleased with how it turned out.
